June Farm

Five + sandy acres, five hoop houses, one heated greenhouse, and a half acre of high tunnels all growing specialty cut flowers. June Farm is situated in the heart of Burlington on the Intervale.

The farm is nestled along the Winooski River with six other working farms. Just down hill from the busy and vibrant city of Burlington, Vermont. In this rich Intervale farming community we produce cut flowers for florists and designers, local grocers, the Burlington Farmers’ Market, our beloved CSA members, and design and supply bulk buckets for weddings and events.

Our goal here at June Farm is to provide high quality cut flowers to our community, help grow our local economy, and lower the environmental impact that imported flowers have on our planet daily. We are not certified organic, but use all organic practices - our flowers are always grown chemical-free and we strive to have a positive impact on our soil.

My passion for flowers began back in 2014 while attending college at The University of Vermont and working in a local flower shop. I remember watching all the local flower farmers come into the shop and drop off flowers every Tuesday and Wednesday. I was inspired by them and felt drawn to the lifestyle.

I ended up immersing myself in the floral and farming community. I started working on the Intervale, farming vegetables where I met Braden. I was growing vegetables during the week and worked at a local flower shop and freelanced for Designers all throughout New England on the weekend. After a couple years of farming on the Intervale I heard that the owners of Stray Cat Flower Farm were looking to retire after 30+ years. I was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time and was able to take over their lease and purchase their old barn, hoop houses and a couple sheds filled with tools, buckets, and more.

The winter of February 2020, my partner Braden and I started June Farm.
